Bob Waters
I love the entire process of woodworking. The design, wood selection, milling, hand planing and finishing all bring me joy. Most of all I love the tactile feel of the wood and I invite admirers to touch and feel my art. I find myself increasingly drawn to curves and arcs and it's finding its way into more of my work. I have been asked to define myself I prefer to say, ‘I make what interests me’. Each piece being unique. I like to use reclaimed wood as much as possible and let the flaws or character in the wood be incorporated into the piece. I studied at the College of the Redwoods 'Fine Woodworking Program' in 2010. In 2011 my art was awarded first and second place at the Sacramento County Fair.
